Steve was born in the Washington D.C. area, but has strong family ties to the Baltimore area. He moved to Baltimore in 1980 soon after graduating from The University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management (Accounting). After working for 18 months for a relative in real estate development and management, he was hired by a local C.P.A. firm in 1981 and began his career in public accounting.
Steve passed the C.P.A. exam in 1982. While working for several local C.P.A. firms, he worked closely with small and medium business owners in assisting them with financial reporting, tax preparation, obtaining financing and providing management advisory services.
Since starting his own practice in 1990, Steve has catered to small and medium businesses, providing the owners with financial and tax information. He offers them financial advice to help cope with the challenging economic environment. Steve is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and Maryland Society of Accounting and Tax Professionals.
Steve has lived in Reisterstown since 1985 and is involved in many civic, religious, and community activities. He has served as Treasurer for Adat Chaim Synagogue, Board member and Treasurer for the Adat Chaim Men’s Club, Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 143, Assistant Cubmaster for Pack 634 as well as the Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 634. He is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
